What to do before yous sell, give abroad or trade in your iPhone, iPad or iPod affect

Follow these steps to transfer information to your new device, then remove your personal data from your erstwhile device.

  5. Become dorsum to Settings and tap General > Transfer or Reset [device] > Erase All Content and Settings. If you've turned on Find My [device], you may need to enter your Apple ID and countersign. If your device uses eSIM, choose the choice to erase your device and the eSIM contour when asked.
  6. If asked for your device passcode or Restrictions passcode, enter it. And so tap Erase [device].
  7. Contact your carrier for aid transferring service to a new owner. If you aren't using a SIM carte du jour with your device, you can contact them to get assistance transferring service to the new owner.
  8. Remove your old device from your list of trusted devices.
